Offer them water to drink. I purposely keep chilled water bottles in my fridge and when service workers come into my home. I enjoy offering them water. It's a nice gesture.
2. I like to bring cases of water and sometimes store bought treats to local service departments or to the communities that serve my family. I try to do this at different points of the year to just say thank you. Just make sure key are they are store wrapped unless you have touched based with them. It also may be a good idea to call ahead or ask when you are there if they have a preference or a need.
3. Say thank you, God bless you, and even Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. I deliberately go out of my way to spread the kindness of Christ whenever I can. In full honesty it is difficult sometimes and we all have setbacks and challenges but making it a point to spread love is key and seeing people as people is important.
4. Make eye contact when interacting with others. It means a lot to be seen and to be valued.
5. Lastly, it feels good to spread joy.
Thank you for joining me on a tour of spreading love, kindness, and honor to one community at a time.
