Why I love Fitness and How to Stay Active

I have been on the fitness health track ever since high school. When I was younger I would enthustically encourage my family to live healthier lives. I would excitedly inspire, challenge, and encourage those around me to take frequent breaks and have more fun. Now that I am slightly older and more gorgeous than ever. I find myself doing the same. While teaching you can usually find me walking the halls during my break time or before/after school. I would often squeeze time in my busy schedule to take exercise breaks inside or outside at least 3 times a week. Now as a homeschooling mom I love taking walks and we take them at all times of the day especially whenever a need arises for me or the kids. Since I am a morning person I had to get very creative with this over the years. I am a person who needs to keep moving it helps reduces my anxiety because if I am moving I aint got a care in the world.

  1. YouTube is your exercise friend year round.

  2. Pool memberships are important or at the very least visit an Aquatics center or splash park near you as often as possible.

  3. Running and walking are like dancing in a straight line. Keep an extra pair of sneakers or tennis shoes in your car or under your office desk because free moments sometimes surprise us so it's good to be prepared.

  4. I tell myself on my lazy days that I am only going to exercise for 5 minutes. However, I always ended up doing more.

  5. Join or create a fitness group at work, home, or in the community. Check out established groups on line. Positive peer pressure and exercise is a guarantee way you won't flake out.

  6. Have fun while you do it and it's okay to change up your routine when you get bored.

  7. Take your children along so they can also develop heathy habits.

  8. Tweek your exercise schedule for every season. What you do in one season may not work in another season.

  9. Like Dori just keep moving...just keep swimming.

  10. Accept that setbacks are a normal part of life. Just do what you can and pray about the rest.

  11. Make sure you get medical clearance before beginning any exercise program and after any medical setbacks.

  12. Keep drinking water it's your best friend.

Happy Exercising!

Completely pregnant and having active fun at the Washington Monument...playing tourist. A great place to incorporate fitness and fun. It was a pop up date moment with hubby and I.
