Being Committed

As this Lenten season draws to a close I am once again reminded of the power of prayer and the importance of committing our plans to God. In 1 Thess. 5:17 it states to pray without ceasing. This scripture helps us to see that our prayer lives should be an ongoing continuous process that extends beyond Lent. As we go about our lives we can be in constant communication with our heavenly Father. We can pray and talk to Him about anything. Laying down our needs, responsibilities, dreams, and plans before our King. No matter if they are big or small. Allowing the healing power of God's peace to reside in our hearts and minds. Deciding each day to be committed to bringing our hearts before His throne of grace, again and again. Letting God's love and strength renew our hearts and our minds as we go whereever God sends us each day . Walking confidently knowing that His presence surrounds us and is within reach. We can come to Jesus. He is our bread. He is our living water. When we come to Jesus, we won't be hungry and thirsty for the things of this world. We can be secure in the knowledge that our heavenly father can do impossible things in our lives if we believe.

Proverbs 3:6 Commit your ways unto the Lord and He will make your path straight.
