Ways To Communicate
Native Africans and Native Americans have used a variety of tools to communicate with one another for centuries. Native Africans used drums to signal danger, while Native Americans are known to have used sign language to communicate. Native people around the world use music, singing, shouting, hand gestures, and dancing to communicate today. Kids like you can also communicate using facial or hand gestures to show when you are happy, sad, or feeling goofy. Writing and art is another way to communicate. It allows people to share information so it can be passed down like the Egyptians did using hieroglyphs on the pyramids. Today, visitors can visit museums or tour real historical sites around the world to see examples of early writing and artifacts to discover more ways that early people lived and communicated long ago.
