My Super Fine Sisters (Poem)

Updated: Mar 15, 2022

It's a fine thing to have such captivating sisters,

my first playmates,

my first confidants,

like butterflies we fluttered around the neighborhood,

building snow forts,

planting flowers in the rain,

fighting imagination wars,

filling the neighborhood with lots of joy.

and lots of dreams,

we cried together,

we laughed together,

we fought together,

three fine sisters fluttering through life captivating the soul of America.

no greater friend than my sisters,

who will travel to the far ends of the earth to be by my side,

who without a doubt and with no hesitation will tell me the god honest truth,

even when I don't want to hear it,

asking questions best left unasked,

we don't always agree,

and when we clash it's like the avengers civil war on an unending loop,

round and round and round we go,

trying to prove whose right,

but the best thing the good Lord ever did was give me the two of you.

Happy Women's Month to my sisters!
