This poem is for every person who lost their lives fighting for freedom .
For those who stood beside them and for those who mourn them.
We salute you. We honor you.
Thank you for your sacrifice and the gift of freedom.
Our freedom came at a great price.
May we always remember your sacrifice and never take it for granted.
May we teach the younger generations that our freedom comes at a great cost, so honoring those who gave their lives and their families in small and big ways is how we say thank you every single day.
May God continue to bless your family as you Rest In Peace for all of eternity.
