In life whenever we hit a rough patch our joy can be diminished. We may lack joy and excitement that we used to have previously. We may have forgotten the reason or the purpose behind what we are doing and why. When it's more than a medical reason or burn out we can turn our eyes to the one who knows us best. The One who makes all things new and whom all good things originate from and that is our Heavenly Father. I love the Latin phrase Soli Den gloria which translates to for Glory to God alone. Early musicians and artist like Handel and Bach would write this phrase on their work to signify that praise and glory goes to God alone. If everything we do is a worship unto God it makes sense to remind ourselves that everything we do is unto Him. He is our joy and our strength. He is our purpose and our reason for all the good that we do. When we need help we can ask the Holy Spirit for Joy and whatever else that we need.
